Full-Paper Submission Instructions
The workshop is a half-day event with invited speakers and oral and poster presentations. Papers will be limited to ten pages of Springer LNCS format .
All papers will be reviewed by at least two reviewers with a double blind policy. The review period will be begin after submission and decisions notified by 8th July 2024.
Papers will be selected based on relevance, significance and novelty of results, technical merit, and clarity of presentation.
Papers accepted for PIPPI will be published within the MICCAI workshop proceeding in a LNCS volume.
Submissions should be 10 pages or less including references, in the final LNCS paper template
Please also submit the following license-to-publish agreement alongside your camera-ready submission.

- Please submit your work at our PIPPI 2024 Microsoft CMT here.
Camera Ready Submission
- Please submit your camera ready version via https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/PIPPI2024/ till the 31st of July 2024. You can extend your paper up to 12 pages.
- The publications will be published with Springer - Lecture Notes in Computer Science. Your submission as zip must contain:
- The final source files (e.g., .tex file, figures, .bib file, images ...)
- A final PDF file corresponding exactly to the final source files.
- Please incorporate carefully the reviewers‘ comments into your manuscript.
- Additionally, do not forget to remove the anonymization, add any acknowledgments (if applicable)
- Add the full name of the authors, their affiliation, their ORCID number (if applicable) and address, and at least the e-mail address of the corresponding author, following the LNCS Springer guidelines

- We will provide you the form as soon as we know the proceedings number and got approval for the proceeding’s title by springer. Subsequently the corresponding author please sign it by hand on behalf of all of the authors of the paper and upload it separately in the CMT system.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The corresponding author must be available to carry out a proof check of the paper after it has been sent to Springer within 72 hours. The corresponding author cannot be changed once the paper and the copyright form have been sent to Springer.
Please note that for each paper at least one author needs to register for the workshop via the MICCAI registration system (Early Bird ends on 25th of August 2024, https://conferences.miccai.org/2024/en/REGISTRATION.html).
Please note that this year PIPPI will be in-person only and will take place half a day together with the FeTA2024 challenge on Sunday 6th of October 2024. The session times (morning or afternoon) and room will be announced closer to the workshop date). A tentative program can be found here.

Anonymity Guidelines
The anonymity guidelines require to remove the author and affiliation information from the title page and the paper's header. The authors have to make references to their work anonymously, by citing it in the third person. If the anonymity requirements are not fulfilled, automatic paper rejection is performed.
Oral Presentation Guidance
- Please follow the guidelines to prepare your oral presentation:
- MAX LENGTH OF THE TALK: 8mins + 2mins Questions
- FORMAT: Please provide the slides in advance in ppt format
- MAX SIZE: 25 GB
- DEADLINE: 24th September 2024
- UPLOAD: Please provide us a download link to your slides. You can use a system of your choice (e.g. shared links of a cloud service, FTP or Wetransfer.com).
Poster Presentation Guidance
Poster Boards will be available onsite at the conference venue. We will inform you as soon we received the location from the MICCAI Chairs.
- FORMAT: PDF, printed in portrait A0 size, to fit onsite poster boards
Best Paper Award
The best paper will be selected on bases on the quality of the work and presentation at the workshop by the session chairs. The winner will receive a best paper prize and corresponding certificate.
